For this exhibition “treasures” collected by my family and I as we walked around our South Philadelphia neighborhood were placed inside the pockets and sprinkled around the edges of the room. Viewers were able to sift through the pockets and rearrange the “treasures.”

For this exhibition “treasures” gathered by my family and I over the last year during walks around our South Philadelphia neighborhood were placed around the room and inside pockets, where viewers could examine and redistribute them.








































During the exhibition children and adults were invited to create a pocket to take with them out into the world

11” x 14” upcycled clothing and baby blanket

14” x 10” child’s towel, upcycled clothing and acrylic paint

14” x 10” bathrobe pocket, plaid shirt collar and part of a pillowcase

12” x 10” plaid pocket, sweatshirt neck and part of a child’s towel

14” x 14” x 2” faux fur and denim pocket over plywood support

15” x 11” upcycled and found fabric over painted towel

27” x 16” nylon string, underwire, lace scarf, men’s boxers, painted towel

13” x 13” bra, washcloths, tarpaulin and acrylic paint

15” x 11” girdle and found fabric

8” x 8” flanel pocket on section of skirt

6” x 6” pillowcase, baby blanket and camo fabric with pink bow

Shirt sleeve and pink floral pocket
